A wide area of southern and central Mexico on Thursday shocked with a magnitude-6.5 earthquake, sending people fleeing into the streets but done minor damages only.
The epicenter of earthquake was located near Las Choapas, a town about 600 kilometers southern of Mexico City. The earthquake swayed the buildings for a short time in the capital, and in Veracruz, people ran out from their houses and school children assembled in playgrounds.
